European Viscose Blend Ponte

Ponte, also known as Ponte di Roma is a popular double knit fabric that was first developed in Italy.

A double knit fabric is 2 layers of fabric knitted together using 2 sets of needles on double knit machines used in textile manufacturing.

Our Ponte is a Viscose/ polyester/ elastane blend, slightly firmer and dimensionally stable yet soft & stretchy – a very comfortable and flattering knit to wear! It is suitable for a varying range of garments, it hides all of those lumps & bumps you may want to hide, and is brilliant for garments you do not wish to line!

It is resistant to creases and wrinkles, and sews up beautiful dresses, skirts, pants, jackets & much more.

As a double knit – it is easy to sew and handles well in the machine, the double knit structure makes the fabric a bit firmer and more stable so it doesn’t roll at the edges.
